Effects of stress

·         When we are stressed, body secrets certain chemicals and hormones which, makes the muscles stiff and gastric and other stomach disorders are generated.

·         Prolonged exposure to stress can lead to stiffened arteries and muscles of the heart which can cause serious heart and coronary diseases.

·         A healthy immune system regulates our body's healing process and protects it against infections and diseases. Whereas stress : -

 

                      Weakens immune function,

                      Cause frequent colds, flu,

                      Causes fatigue,

                      Causes cardiovascular disorders and premature aging.

·         Stress increases

 

                      Heart Rate,

                      Blood Pressure,

                      Glucose Levels,

                      Adrenaline,

                      Free Radicals and Oxidative Damage.

                      The Feelings of Anxiety and Depression.

                      This Initiates the "Fight or Flight" Response.
